Life Transitions and Changes
Each one of us will experience major transitions and changes in our lives. Many of these changes will inevitably cause some level of stress—even when the change is a ‘good’ one we eagerly want.
Often the stress is manageable. But if we are feeling disorganized on top of it, the stress can quickly become overwhelming and turn the changes we are experiencing into a nightmare.
Are you, or is someone you care about, experiencing any of these changes?
- Joining two households worth of ‘stuff’ into one household
- moving to a bigger home, smaller home, across town, to another community
- grieving the death of a loved one
- becoming a parent
- changing jobs
- experiencing a serious illness
- having an elderly parent move into your home, to a seniors apartment complex or assisted living
- children have moved out and you are now an “empty nester”
- separation / divorce
- retiring
- going back to school as a mature student
- downsizing, living more simply
- starting a home-based business
- going from part-time employment to full-time
….and the list goes on!
Any of these changes can be an opportunity for personal growth and new beginnings.
As a Registered Social Worker, Professional Organizer and someone who has personally embraced change many times, I can help you sort through the emotions you are feeling and help you get more organized—so the changes will be less stressful.
